Philippine delegation to ISDS Amsterdam 2016

This year the Philippines had the biggest number of attendees to the International Society for Dermatologic Surgery(ISDS) Annual Meeting in Amsterdam, Netherlands. A great learning experience with international speakers including a lot of lecturers from the Philippines. From the Bike Tours, Red Light District and Coffee Shops (and shopping), it was the perfect place to unwind and explore. Looking forward to the next meeting which will be in Bangkok, Thailand on November.

Mastering your craft: Injectables

We recently had an Applied Anatomy Workshop under DrArthur Swift and Dr.KM Kapoor at The Medical City. This was another cadaver workshop focusing on Injection Anatomy for fillers and botulinum toxins.  I would have wanted to post pics of dissected cadaver heads but we weren't allowed to take pics of them. Thanks to the Allergan Medical Institute for setting this up.

There's a big difference with being just an "injector" and a "master injector"...  and that requires humility and continuous never ending learning from the best people in the field. To avoid complications, make sure you don't get Botox and filler injections just from anyone without checking the doctor's credentials and experience. 

3rd PDS Filler Workshop

Another successful event and another learning experience. We held another Philippine Dermatological Society Filler workshop last August 25, 2016 at the Makati Medical Center. If you've noticed, this is one of my favorite procedures. Thanks to all the other lectures, injectors and filler companies who participated.
